Black, its depth and its light, divides into various different blacks: matt, shiny, satin, transparent, ruffled, animal. A sexy, chic and toxic black. Silhouettes fill out large
cape-coats, as if drawn with charcoal. The cape look is key this season for all tailored sleeved pieces and outerwear.
Curly shearling and furs with dreadlock fringes exaggerate volumes like barbarian tunics. Lace customises and accessories jackets and boyish coats as well as tops, shirts, trousers, scarves and long tunics, giving a kind of “rock” element. Sexy, vivid black gloss reflects the light.
Still vivid, mini tops, bustiers and cut draped dresses undress the body, covering and uncovering the skin. Only white and brass provide a contrast to the silhouettes with bright touches. Antique brass or gold in cape-jackets, jumpers and trousers, and also as novel jewellery for tribal Cherokee belts.
Bags and purses are an integral part of the look, in python, foal and soft leathers. They hang on the shoulder as a side-pack or skirt the hip for a “swinging London” style. Masculine boots, both classic and rockabilly, add an English aristo-cool touch. Thigh boots clothe the legs like trousers.
