The richness and the colors of "The Ballet Russe"-greatest ballet company of the last century- are the main source of inspiration for the Spring/Summer 2014. Organic textures an
d decorations merge with geometric patterns; the modernity of the artistic avant-gardes of that age with orientalism.
There are natural and organic elements into this modernity, creating objects that seem to be coming from a "Cabinets de curiosités": embossed surfaces designing shell shapes; studded fish scales looking almost like under skin sequins. The geometric draping of Madame de Grès inspires instead pleated uppers and architectural silhouettes, emphasized by a slick sharp wedge.
The wedge becomes the iconic construction of the season when in translucent perspex with gold rhinestones. The same simple geometries are the feature of the lowheight blocky heel. The color palette is rich and warm thanks to earthy colors, such as the frangere and the burnt- brown; in antithesis is cooled down by shades of cold blue and jade.
Touches of pink and yellow give unexpected vibe to this collection which is a step forward in the evolution of the brand identity.
