I was thinking of shapes that distorted, inflated the body and negated sex but suggested ceremony and pageantry - like the volumes and swells of a pope' s robes. Or the width of the panniers on a venitian court gown.

I reminded myself of my original intent 15 years ago- to take couture silhouettes and interpret them in industrial coarse materials- tenting cottons, tarps, rough leather and tshirt jersey to apply a regal silhouette to every day life. Ascetically heroic. Or delusionally heroic.
