For the summer 2014 collection, the Carven woman borrows from memories of the 90's attitude. She has the detached appearance of the young Juliette Lewis, Drew Barrymore or Liv T
yler; a nonchalant elegance, almost insolent.
The silhouette is in tension between couture volumes and sportswear-inspired fabrics: a structured salopette-dress in denim, an oversized coat in cotton tricotine, a tailleur with a cardigan bolero in Mikado.
The cotton twill is adorned with precious ornaments taken from the archives of the house, the prints merge and collide, mixing electric camouflage and sensitive bouquets, gingham is associated with flowered corsets, and occurs in patches of pleated roses.
The optical white reveals notes of acid colors, cyclamen, cobalt and sulfur. And pastels temper, as a versatile nature.
Guillaume Henry signs his silhouettes with elastic chocker necklaces with metallic flowers and platform shoes in patent leather.
