For Pre-Fall 2012 the Pucci girl enjoys a grown up silhouette with a more bourgeoise attitude. Neat Parisian proportions are subverted by fishnets and patent T-bars peaking out
from under pencil slim trousers or prim skirt lengths.
Sharp menswear plays with rich colours, ochre, mallard, wine & violet while houndstooth check re-calls equestrian detailing, reinforced by a cavalry blanket thrown on as a shawl. Menswear fabrics are key, either as slim hopsack pants or an oversize coat in grey serge.
Sumptuous velvet jackets close with husar fastenings, as does an oversize babylamb shearling Pucci guipure lace, now a house classic, in rich chocolate brown and black is also re-interpreted as a print. Iconic scarf prints in Bordeaux and silver are engineered around the body as is the more exotic Tzarina motif which is also rendered on lame. Not happy to completely abandon her rock chick roots she juxtaposes her look with Berber tapestry
embroideries, jet beadings, and lame appliques.
A more controlled aesthetic this season but always with a touch of the untameable.
